Salamina Dining Room Line


The intention of this project was to rescue handcrafts from Salamina (a small town located in Colombia). The most typical handcrafts form Salamina are wood carvings and cut & paste wood, therefore a dining room line with these characteristic was designed and included the following objects: Trivet, Tri-Candlesticks, Small Candlestick, Napkin Holder and Fruit Bowl.

Trivet
This colorful and playful trivet has a central cut which divides the trivet in two pieces and allows for heat dissipation. The spiral and the flowers are carved in the wood.

Tri-Candlesticks
Its basic structure is an arc who has three candle holders. It is decorated with wood carved spirals and cut & pasted wood flowers.

Small-Candlesticks
It was designed to support a wide candle. It is decorated with cut & paste wood flowers. The legs are two interlaced spirals.

Napkin Holder
It is designed as a one piece object to give a strong and firm hold of the napkins. It is decorated with cut & paste wood flowers and wood craved spirals.

Fruit Bowl
This object is a piece decorated with cut & paste wood flowers and spirals. The legs are three spirals.
